In spring of 2003, I visited (then assistant editor) C. B. Cebulski at Marvel comics. I never like showing up empty handed and so I brought a Spider-Man sample to show him. In an old sketchbook I found my first attempt at this sample. I thought this was long gone so it was cool to find it this week. A lot of people didn’t like the thick outline I used on my figures and a lot of people told me to knock it off. It’s a little much here, but I do like a thicker liner around the figures. I was also told my work was too cartoony (this was in the era of Bryan Hitch) C.B.,however was pretty cool and spent the afternoon teaching me about Storytelling in Comics. #marvelcomics #spiderman #cbcebulski #makecomics #pencilart #okcartteam (at Super Giant Art) https://ift.tt/2KUUr61
