Last night Michelle and I visited Tomas Saraceno’s Cloud City, a large reflective piece of interactive art. I had seen Cloud City as it was being assembled, but to truly appreciate it, you have to go inside it. Inside, it is a dizzying array of reflective surfaces, acrylic panels and open spaces. The effect is a little disorientating and by the time you have visited it’s 16 interior modules you will be transformed. Cloud city has been shown around the world and will be in Oklahoma City until October 16. However to fully appreciate it you must tour the interior which is open Thursday and Friday from 5 to 8 PM and Saturday Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM. It is located on the grounds of the soon to be constructed Oklahoma Contemporary Museum at 11th and Broadway near automobile alley in Oklahoma City.
