I was reading about the Sailor Moon Challenge and I thought it would be interesting to try it in my classic comic style. The challenge is supposed to be digital and every piece I’ve seen is in color so I’m not really following directions. Because art is all about following the directions and doing what they tell you. I’ve always talked about how my family is very artistic. Recently in my studio I found this dish towel my maternal grandmother had done a needlepoint of a rooster on. I don’t know much about needlepoint, but I think this is pretty cool. When I was very young, I had a denim shirt she had needlepointed a scene of a young boy fishing on a dock. Found in my studio recently: Marvel Ultimate Alliance playing card deck. This was given out at San Diego Comic-Con in ‘06. I don’t keep a lot of swag, but this game is one of my favorite.
