I haven’t been posting on Instagram a lot lately, but here’s some figure doodles I’ve been doing over the last week or so. These are rudimentary but I feel very necessary, similar to how a pro ballplayer may practice free throws or short passes. This is the basics and the more I practice the faster I get. #figuredrawing #doodle #sketchbook #strathmorepaper #makecomics #heroicfigures #anatomydrawing https://ift.tt/2QzK4Zw

Drawing the muscle groups of the forearm is very challenging. Because the bones rotate, the muscles change size based the position of the hand. Draw From Your Head by Doug Jamieson is great at breaking down anatomy into drawable shapes. It’s a little hard to find, but I really like it and am working my way through it. #anatomy #figuredrawing #drawfromyourhead #dougjamieson #anatomydrawing #practicemakesperfect #sketchbook #sketch #anatomysketch https://ift.tt/3o37dyS
