Next Monday I’m taking my second belt test in Taekwondo and these are my notes for the form I have to know. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to learn martial arts, I am enjoying it. The confidence learning some fighting skills and giving (and taking) a few punches has been life changing. I spent the morning getting some routine tests and did some doodling while I waited. I don’t show a lot of people my sketchbook because it’s filled with half finished sketches like this and not really impressive to see. But I do feel it’s important for me to keep a sketchbook with me to draw from observation and to keep observing the world around me.
