I haven’t been posting on Instagram a lot lately, but here’s some figure doodles I’ve been doing over the last week or so. Lately in my sketchbook I’ve been experimenting with more tone in my pencil work. Last night I was looking at some reprints of The Shadow pulps and I wanted to try something similar to the ‘grease pencil’ interior illustrations and so drew this in my #strathmore #sketchbook with an old Wolff carbon pencil I had laying around. It’s more modeled after The Spider than The Shadow but either way I love those old Pulp characters and I’d love to draw a pulp comic one day (hint to any writers!) #illustration #pencildrawing #pulpheroes #thespider #pulpfiction https://ift.tt/3uf49Th
