I got my Nil-Tech sketchbook in today. It’s a little cumbersome to be a daily carry sketchbook, but the paper is very white and has a fine tooth. The weight feels comparable to cardstock so the sketchbook is thicker and heavier than comparable size sketchbooks. Still it seems nice to draw on and should hold up to markers or light wash easily. The cover has a cool design and is a slick cardstock that should wear well. Another sketchbook filled. This sketchbook will alway be my ‘pandemic sketchbook’ because I started it right before the lockdowns last year. I really grew to like this particular sketchbook’s paper, but the spiral on the top seemed to make the book slightly flimsy. I know the 300 series isn’t Strathmore’s best paper, but I feel this is their best looking sketchbook. The current sketchbooks use art on the cover which I’m not crazy about.
