I miss the old International House of Pancakes. We used to drive to Florida to see my Grandma when I was a kid and this was a place we only saw on the road. Where the current IHOP is bland and generic, the old version had sweeping, pitched ceilings lined with dark wood. Instead of a upscale McDonalds, it seemed like a temple dedicated to the art of the pancake.
