I’ve been cleaning out some old sketchbooks and I found this drawing pad from college and in the back I found a partially finished comic sample I drew for Marvel comics. About 10 years ago, I got some try-out scripts from someone at Marvel. The first one I drew was this X-Men script. I had read about someone who drew a comic in their sketchbook and I thought that was a cool idea so I tried it. In the end I scrapped this and sent in a sample drawn on normal comic paper, but it’s still cool to have this. Had I drawn it on individual pages I’d had probably pitched it. There is about 5 more pages in this pad and the paper is pretty nice so I may have to draw a few more pages in it. #comicsamples #makecomics #comicart #comicartist #xmen #marvelcomics #sketchbook #pencildrawings #failedart #samplepages #samplepagesaturday (at Super Giant Art) http://bit.ly/2WJ6STJ
